My boyfriend and I just got a 5mth old Mini Pinscher we named Max.
We have been spending a lot of time with him trying to housebreak him because it seems to me the home we rescued him from never even tried to do it.
We take him out right when we wake up, after he eats, plays, and here and there like every hour or two at the most. But I work second shift and my boyfriend works a swing shift on first shift, so the days he is actually working, Max has to be in his carrier for almost 4 hrs before my bf gets home to let him out. I make sure he poops n pees before I put him in there right before I leave for work. He has his blanket in there and a couple small toys.
Usually he is somewhat good and has no accidents, but lately he has been peeing and/or pooping in his carrier when left alone?
I’m getting really frustrated with this because we have been trying everything like the bell on the door, but he is a stubborn pup when it comes to this, otherwise he is just a snuggler and sweet.
I definitely do not want to use newspaper or pee pads because them are disgusting to me and I want him to know its not okay at all to go "inside" only "outside".
Please if you have any suggestions I’d appreciate it…or even to hear your puppy was this stubborn and would have accidents like this but with perseverance your pup has become trained. Thanks so much and if you have any optional questions feel free to ask

I just got a 12 week year old puppy that is half Chiwahua and half Yorkie and even when I sit outside with her it seems she doesn’t go to the bathroom until she is in her kennal or inside the house. I need the most effective and quickest way to potty train her.

My husband and I just got our daughter a 3 month old puppy for Christmas. She is impossible to housebreak! She even *goes* in the kennel at night. It’s so frustrating because our Boston Terrier was so easy to train. I’m not sure what breed she is. So, here’s a pic (she’s the brown one)

I would appreciate any tips or advice. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had my puppy for a little over a month now and I’d say he’s about 95% potty trained for the peeing. he has his occasional accidents but they become more and more rare.
About the poop, it just isn’t working, he NEVER does it on the pad. We take him out whenever we can but we are really trying to train him to go inside. We seem to be doing everything right but he’s not showing any progress.
Oh and also, any tips on getting pee stains out of the carpet?

We just got an 11 week old puppy and I really need to know the quickest and best methods for housebreaking him. Please help!
He is a Rednose pitbull, he’s a really beautifu, sweet dog. Is crate training
(which we are planning to do) part of the housebreaking process? I am new to this, when last I had a dog this wasn’t known to be good for a dog as it is now.
