I have a 12 week old cocker spaniel puppy. She is doing OK with housebreaking except we had a few problems last night. We spent all weekend installing a stockade fence in the backyard. She spent a lot of time on a lead in the backyard so that we could work and not worry about where she was. She was outside most of the day yesterday (Sunday) and Saturday. Yesterday evening when we finally brought her in she had three accidents in an hour. How do we teach her that she needs to go before coming inside after being outside all day?

I just bought a 2mo old female shih tzu puppy today, and I want to potty train her as soon as I can.

I want to get a 7 weeks old puppy, but my parents don’t want him to pee on the carpets or the floors (really not want him to do that). what can i do to potty train him really quickly or what can i do to prevent the peeing on the floor or carpets? i thought about a crate and to take him out often but i still don’t know if it’ll work!

We are currently housebreaking our 15 week old Siberian husky puppy through crate training. We follow a routine of crating her for 2-4 hours during the day and then exercise her until she is tired before we crate her. She is doing fine during the day as she does not eliminate in the house or the crate during the day. we crate her for the last time in the night at approx 9:30 pm. The problem is that when we crate her for the last time at night she has already pooped in the crate by the time we get up at 5:00 am. We do not wake up during the night to take her. We give her food at around 4:50 pm during the day and that is the last time she gets food or water.

This is really the only problem we are having because she does not poop in her crate unless it is for the longer crating session in the night. If anyone could help us with this problem it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

My puppy is a 6 month old Chi-Poo. (mix between a chihuahua and a toy poodle) I just got her two days ago and i was wondering if it was too soon to teach her to go outside. Also, what is the most effective way to potty train her. I’ve been told scolding and whipping is not the solution.
