I have a 12wk old male Beagle puppy. I’ve had him since he was 6wks. I recently just moved to another apartment complex. (We have been here almost a wk.) The problem is at my old complex he hardly never had any accidents. Maybe once a day. Here it seems that every time I turn around I’m having to clean up poop or pee. I use puppy pads but he only goes on those while I’m at work and he is in the laundry room. The rest of the day he does his business wherever he wants to.When he does that I tell him "bad dog" and he seems to understand that I am mad at him. I take him out every 2 hrs for a long time and praise him like crazy outside and give him a treat inside when he goes. But nothing seems to be working. I’m taking him to the Vet next week to make sure everything is ok with him. Any suggestion would be welcomed. Right now I’m at a lost for what to do. Am I worrying to soon or am I doing something wrong?

My boyfriend and I just got a 5mth old Mini Pinscher we named Max.
We have been spending a lot of time with him trying to housebreak him because it seems to me the home we rescued him from never even tried to do it.
We take him out right when we wake up, after he eats, plays, and here and there like every hour or two at the most. But I work second shift and my boyfriend works a swing shift on first shift, so the days he is actually working, Max has to be in his carrier for almost 4 hrs before my bf gets home to let him out. I make sure he poops n pees before I put him in there right before I leave for work. He has his blanket in there and a couple small toys.
Usually he is somewhat good and has no accidents, but lately he has been peeing and/or pooping in his carrier when left alone?
I’m getting really frustrated with this because we have been trying everything like the bell on the door, but he is a stubborn pup when it comes to this, otherwise he is just a snuggler and sweet.
I definitely do not want to use newspaper or pee pads because them are disgusting to me and I want him to know its not okay at all to go "inside" only "outside".
Please if you have any suggestions I’d appreciate it…or even to hear your puppy was this stubborn and would have accidents like this but with perseverance your pup has become trained. Thanks so much and if you have any optional questions feel free to ask :D

I have a 12 week old cocker spaniel puppy. She is doing OK with housebreaking except we had a few problems last night. We spent all weekend installing a stockade fence in the backyard. She spent a lot of time on a lead in the backyard so that we could work and not worry about where she was. She was outside most of the day yesterday (Sunday) and Saturday. Yesterday evening when we finally brought her in she had three accidents in an hour. How do we teach her that she needs to go before coming inside after being outside all day?

I have a three-month-old Sheltie/Terrier mix puppy who has been doing a great job on housebreaking. We’re using a kennel during the day while we’re at work (no more than 4 hours at a time - someone comes home for lunch to take him out) and overnight. We’re had minimal accidents in the house until just recently. He has starting peeing under our kitchen table - same place EVERY time. We’ll take him outside and he’ll poop and pee out there and then come inside and go directly under the table and pee again. He does it when we’re watching, when we not watching, when we’re saying "no" when we catch him…we’ve tried covering the spot with pet odor eliminators, Fabreeze, Clorox wipes, puppy pads and nothing seems to work. He pees just to the side of the puppy pads and none of the new smells seem to deter him from wanting to go there again. He doesn’t go anywhere else - any suggestions?
